With this generous donation from the Belron Ronnie Lubner Foundation, we can reach even more young people who’ve had the most unfair start in life and offer them the life-changing power of mentoring.
We’re incredibly grateful to have received a generous donation of £5,000 from the Belron Ronnie Lubner Foundation to support our transformative mentoring programme.
The Belron Ronnie Lubner Foundation is dedicated to supporting charitable causes that make a meaningful impact on communities worldwide. Their focus is on empowering young people and driving positive change, and their commitment to giving back aligns with our mission.
Through our schools-based mentoring programme, we support young people to realise their potential. By matching each young person with an adult mentor–based on shared interests, personality and life experiences–we provide consistent one-to-one support that helps them build self-belief, awaken ambition and expand future horizons.
This contribution means more young people will have someone in their corner. It helps us continue our mission of ensuring that every young person has someone to help them find their way.
Mentors dedicate just one hour a week, but that time makes a lifelong impact. For mentees, having someone who listens, encourages, and believes in them builds confidence, self-belief and helps them build trust, as shown in our most recent Impact Report.
Every act of kindness, big or small, makes a real difference, and this one will have a lasting impact. A huge thank you to the Belron Ronnie Lubner Foundation.
Caroline Purves, Head of Fundraising and Communications, shared what the donation means to the organisation:
“Receiving this grant from the Belron Ronnie Lubner Foundation is incredibly special.
We were nominated for the donation by a very valued mentor. They shared their experience with a loved one, who spread the message of transformation and hope that MCR Pathways mentoring brings. The message reached the ears of an organisation that believes in giving back to communities, providing vital support in challenging times, and helping young people across the globe.
“This connection through the mentor, all the way through to the Belron Ronnie Lubner Foundation makes it incredibly special — it’s a powerful reminder that mentors are so much more than a one-hour commitment. Their belief in us transforms lives far beyond the time they give.
And the donation will mean we can make a powerful difference. That somewhere in the UK a young person needs our help now. And we can answer the call.”
If you’re inspired to be part of this transformation, consider becoming a mentor. Just one hour a week can change a life, and maybe even your community.
