MCR Pathways team joined Mike from Great British Radio

In March, some of our Hertfordshire team, including Ernest, our dedicated Mentor Recruitment Manager, Lauren, the Pathways Coordinator at Barnwell, Emma, the Pathways Coordinator at Barclay Academy, Carol, our Programme Manager, along with volunteer mentors Joanna, Mimi de Wolf and David, joined forces with Mike from Great British Radio to discuss all things MCR Pathways. 

During this insightful discussion, they highlighted the amazing work MCR Pathways does, providing a glimpse into the meaningful contributions of each team member. The team also offered valuable insights into how those considering becoming a volunteer mentor can explore the journey of becoming a mentor with MCR Pathways.

The charity is dedicated to addressing inequality in education outcomes, career opportunities, and life chances for care-experienced young people and those experiencing disadvantage. The programme revolves around 1:1 relationship-based mentoring, specifically designed to enhance the confidence, self-belief, and self-esteem of care-experienced young people.

Mentors dedicate just one hour every week to listen to their young person, creating a lasting impact.
