Funding Secures Three Vital Pathways Coordinators for Young People in Perth and Kinross
We’re delighted to announce we have received £47,895 of continuation funding from The Gannochy Trust to continue our vital mentoring work in Perth and Kinross.
This generous donation will fund three Pathways Coordinators, who play a crucial role in supporting young people throughout their journey. Their work includes supporting pupils from Primary 7, easing their transition into high school, guiding them through mentoring, organising Talent Tasters, and helping them plan for life after school.
For the mentees on the programme, the consistency of having an adult mentor fosters confidence, fuels ambition and opens up new possibilities. This renewed investment reflects on the incredible progress we’ve seen in Perth and Kinross over the past year:
- 100% of the young people we support now say they believe in themselves
- 98% report increased confidence through mentoring
- 94% feel their mentor has helped them understand what they can achieve
- Every young person supported has progressed to a positive destination after school
Head of Schools in the East of Scotland, Natalie Smith, said:
“To benefit from another year of grant funding from The Gannochy Trust is a wonderful privilege for the Perth & Kinross community, which will benefit young people across 3 High Schools. These are young people filled with potential but struggling to see a clear path forward. Because of this support, more young people now have a mentor who believes in them, encourages them, helps them navigate their future and builds inner confidence that gives them hope and optimism.”
We are incredibly grateful for The Gannochy Trust’s continued partnership and belief in our work. With their generous donation, we can continue ensuring that every young person has someone by their side to help them find their way.
You can help too.
