Announcement: Major Milestone for Mentoring in Scotland

Marking a major milestone for Mentoring in Scotland

The Scottish Government has announced a major funding package which supports the introduction of MCR’s mentoring programme across Scotland.

We are thrilled at the opportunity that this funding offers us to reach thousands more inspiring young people across the country, who will now have the chance to have a mentor.

MCR Pathways CEO, Graeme McEwan said:

“We are absolutely delighted that the Scottish Government is supporting the expansion of the Young Scottish Talent mentoring programme. This recognises the transformational impact of mentoring and the key role it will play in post-Covid recovery in our schools and local communities.

We look forward to partnering with our Local Authorities and schools to work with volunteer mentors across the country to help our young people find, grow and use their talents and be all they can be.”

Thank you to all of the amazing mentors, schools, partners, staff and of course the wonderful young people who made this possible. We couldn’t have done this without you and we are so excited by this next chapter.

We look forward to sharing updates on the details of the rollout over the coming weeks.
