Three Clacks High Schools to Take Part in New Mentoring Programme

It’s hoped a new school-based mentoring programme in Clacks will help disadvantaged young people “fulfil their potential”.

Sessions will be carried out between a youngster and their mentor every week, to provide support and encouragement.

Clacks Council have linked with MCR Pathways to deliver the scheme across Alloa, Lornshill and Alva Academies.

Iain MacRitchie, Founder of MCR Pathways, said,

“We are absolutely delighted to be launching our Young Clackmannanshire Talent Programme and to be working with three excellent schools in the area.

“The partnership with the council is inspired and will make a huge difference to so many young people.

Our team are already working hard and are very committed to helping every young person on the programme to be determined by their talent and never their circumstances.”

The scheme was established in 2007 and now supports more than 2,000 young people across Scotland every week.
