Gannochy Trust - Funding fuelling the vital spark of potential
Our partnership with The Gannochy Trust has been instrumental in deepening MCR’s impact across Perth and Kinross. Generously supporting us for six years funding frontline programme delivery at Perth Grammar, St John’s Academy and Blairgowrie High.
It’s a partnership that goes beyond grant-making — one that builds capability, strengthens communities and helps us thrive long into the future as a sustainable force for young people across Scotland. Senior leadership has taken part in the Trust’s Grants Plus Steering the Ship Programme – developed by Graeme Reekie of The Lasting Difference. This exciting capacity-building and leadership programme has been an exceptional series exploring sustainability, governance and self-leadership. It has shaped how we plan, manage and grow as an organisation, strengthening our ability to lead with clarity and confidence. The wider Perthshire team have benefited from CPD and networking opportunities with the Trust.
Impetus – Investing in impact and evidence
Our partnership with Impetus is helping MCR Pathways take mentoring to new places and new levels of impact. Impetus backs charities that transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds; their investment has supported us to expand from Scotland into England, first in Hertfordshire and more recently across Surrey and London.
This relationship goes far beyond funding, it is a partnership. Together we review and refine practice, ensuring we address the needs of today and plan for those of tomorrow. As one of Impetus’ portfolio partners, we benefit from regular collaboration with other selected charities, sharing ideas, expertise and experience. Impetus’ respected expertise across data collation, analysis and application supports us to strengthen how we track outcomes and demonstrate progress across the triple goals of: improving young people’s school attendance, self-esteem and wellbeing and securing positive post school destinations.
