A community or educational partnership with MCR Pathways offers more than support.

It creates life-changing connections that inspire young people to re-engage with learning, embrace a new attitude and see their future with renewed
hope and ambition.

We work alongside schools, colleges, community spaces and local authorities to embed our powerful, award-winning relationship-based mentoring model that reaches those at greatest risk of disengagement: not with one-off interventions, but with consistent, meaningful and tailored support.

This isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about giving young people the belief, confidence and resilience to reimagine what’s possible and to move towards positive post-school destinations with a sense of purpose. Our different types of partnerships

1. Schools

Working in partnership with local authorities and secondary schools to enhance staying on rates, attainment and positive post-school destinations.

2. Colleges

Emerging partnerships with further education institutions are now helping young people make successful transitions from secondary schools.

3. Community

Supporting young people who have disengaged in school and college by reaching them in spaces where they are most comfortable.

Reasons to partner with MCR Pathways 

Better staying on rates

Mentored students are significantly more likely to remain in school for S5 and S6 and achieve the qualifications they need. In Scotland, Care-experienced young people who were mentored were 1.5 times more likely to stay in school to S5 than their non-mentored peers.

Positive Destinations

Our focus is on helping young people transition to a positive destination—a clear pathway to Further Education, Higher Education, or Employment. In England, 100% of mentored young people who left school in 24/25 went on to a positive initial destination.

Higher Attainment

The consistency of a mentor helps young people sustain their education. In Scotland, 84.6% of mentored care-experienced young people achieved Level 5 in at least one subject, compared to 45.6% nationally.

Improved Well-being

The consistent connection with a mentor builds the self-belief and resilience needed to navigate challenges and embrace opportunity. Mentored young people in our Rosenberg Survey improved their Wellbeing (Self-Esteem) by an average of 39%. 75% of those young people substantially improved their Well-being by 57% between summer 2023 and summer 2025.

Better Attendance

The support of a mentor helps young people prioritise their education, resulting in better attendance. In England, young people on Free School Meals who were mentored had a 3.5% better average attendance compared to their non-mentored peers on Free School Meals
