Summer is here & that means we’ve got new, special faces in the MCR head office! For the next four weeks, our fab group of interns will be working with us, making sure young people’s voices are core to our programme’s delivery and development. They’ll be working on all sorts of projects and will also be blogging about their experience. So keep an eye on our website for their updates!
Our 8 interns are all leavers and have all been mentored. We’re excited for them to share their stories with you over the coming weeks.
So, without any further ado, meet our 2019 Interns!
Hi, I’m Reni I’m 19 and left school in 2018. I’m now studying Musical Theatre at New College Lanarkshire. I don’t like chocolate but have a secret obsession with Boost bars. I’m also scared of bikes.
My name’s William. I’m 20 and a third year student at the University of the West of Scotland. I attended Lochend Community High School and was mentored for 4 years.
My name is Sylvia, I’m 19 years old. I study psychology at the University of St. Andrews. I went to St. Mungo’s academy. I like tea, my favourites are ginger and peppermint.
My name’s Hayley! I used to attend Eastbank Academy High School and will be studying Business Management at Glasgow University in Sept. My favourite singer is Ariana Grande and I hate insects.
Hi my names Jack, I’m 18 years old I live in Milton Glasgow. I’m a pretty busy person, as I play football every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I also work in a butchers. I also love to collect Funko pop vinyls.
Hi! I’m Bryan and I’m going to be heading to collage to study game development and design. An interesting fact about me is that I work in Nandos.
Hi, my name is Amie, I attended St Andrews RC Secondary and just left this year. I play clarinet and hate spiders.
My name is Fabio, I am 18 years old from Lisboa Portugal. I went to St.Mungo’s Academy for 6 years and I plan to go to UWS to study Sports Coaching. Current show I’m binging on Netflix right now is Suits (Donna is the best side character hands down!). Also I’m pretty sure I have a cookie dough Ben & Jerry’s addiction, but that’s neither here nor there.
