Meet Our New Leadership Team

We are delighted to announce and introduce you to our new leadership team Sharon McIntyre, CEO, and Melodie Crumlin, Deputy CEO.

Sharon brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked at Skills Development Scotland and Wheatley Housing Group. Her dedication to ensuring every young peron is defined by their talent and never their circumstances is unwavering, and her commitment to creating a more inclusive, socially mobile society is truly inspiring.

Sharon commented “I have been deeply committed to the MCR vision from the beginning. Ensuring every young person is defined by their talent and never their circumstances is personal. It matters. It is a definition of a developed country and skilled economy and what we expect as a minimum standard and core value.”

Joining Sharon is Melodie Crumlin, former CEO of PEEK and a passionate advocate for young people. Melodie’s drive to ensure no young person is left behind aligns perfectly with our mission.

Melodie commented “I have joined MCR for a simple reason – no young person should be written off because of their circumstances. The impact Relational-based mentoring has is transformational for our most disadvantaged teenagers. They need MCR more than ever in every area of the country.”

We are thrilled to have you both on board! Together, they will lead us in our mission to redefine the future for care-experienced and vulnerable young people alongside our mentors and partners across Scotland and South-East England, ensuring all young people can access the support they need to flourish and thrive.
