BBC Reporting Scotland’s Hayley Jarvis interviews MCR Pathways’ mentors, young people and founder, Iain MacRitchie, about the life changing impact of mentoring. During lockdown, many of Scotland’s most disadvantaged young people have been cut off from their education, peers and the support of their mentor because they lack an internet connection and vital IT equipment.
Now, helped with funding from the Scottish Government and JP Morgan, MCR will provide internet access and computers for up to 300 young people who live in households without access to the vital support network. Relationships are the bridge to young people reaching their potential and MCR Pathways is delighted to keep relationships growing during lockdown. Originally aired 12th June 2020.
